When a parent creates a profile for a child (for tutoring matching purposes), we collect:

• Learning notes / tutor notes (optional)
• Private parent notes (optional)

We do NOT collect the child's name or identifying information. Parents must affirm they are the legal guardian and consent to sharing age and gender with the tutor for session matching purposes. Children do not have accounts and cannot create profiles or submit information directly.

For Tutors:

• Professional bio
• Credentials (certificates, degrees — optional but required for verification)
• Hourly rates
• Weekly availability schedule
• Teaching subjects and experience

Additional Information:

• Messages exchanged between tutors and parents
• Reviews and ratings (optional)
• Session history and booking details
• Watchlist / saved tutors (parents)

We do not collect any personal information unless you voluntarily provide it to us. However, you may be required to provide certain information to register for an account, create student profiles, or book sessions.

Use of Your Personal Information

Video sessions may use Daily.co. Video is not recorded unless you explicitly enable it. See Daily.co's privacy policy for details.

AI Support:

Our help center uses AI to generate responses to your questions. Conversations are retained to improve the service.

Sharing Information with Third Parties

The Company does not sell your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

We share data with the following service providers only as necessary to operate the platform:

• Stripe (payment processing)
• Daily.co (video session facilitation, if used)
• Email service providers (for transactional and notification emails)
• Twilio (SMS delivery for one-time verification codes sent to tutors)

These third parties are contractually obligated to use your information only to provide services to us and to maintain confidentiality.

Tutoring Marketplace:

On our tutoring marketplace, parent contact information (name, email, profile details) is visible only to tutors you initiate contact with. Tutor profiles (name, credentials, reviews, availability, rates) are publicly visible to help parents find tutors.

Legal Disclosure:

The Company may disclose your personal information without notice if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with legal obligations, protect rights or property, or act under exigent circumstances to protect public safety.

Automatically Collected Information

The Company may automatically collect information about your device and browsing activity, including:

• Browser type
• Domain names
• Access times
• Referring website addresses
• Session duration

This information is used to operate the service, maintain quality, and provide general statistics about platform usage. We do not collect precise GPS location or device advertising IDs.

Security of Your Personal Information

Children Under Thirteen

The Company does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you are under the age of 13, you must ask your parent or guardian for permission to use this website.

Student profiles created within a parent account are controlled entirely by the parent or guardian. The Company does not permit children under 13 to create accounts or submit personal information directly.

Right to Deletion

Subject to certain exceptions, on receipt of a verifiable request from you, we will:

• Delete your personal information from our records
• Direct service providers to delete your personal information from their records

Upon account deletion:

• Your name, email, phone, profile photo, and bio are immediately removed
• Student profiles you created are deleted
• Messages and conversation history are removed
• Historical session records are retained in anonymized form for accounting and tutor reputation purposes (required by law)
• Payment records are retained by Stripe per tax and financial regulations (~7 years)

We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

Exceptions to Deletion:

We may not be able to comply with requests to delete your information if it is necessary to:

• Complete pending transactions or fulfill contracts
• Detect and prevent fraud or security incidents
• Comply with legal obligations
• Preserve information for dispute resolution

SMS and Text Messaging

When you apply to become a tutor on LimmudLink, we collect your mobile phone number and use it to send a one-time verification code (OTP) via SMS to confirm your identity. By entering your phone number and requesting a code, you consent to receive this single transactional text message.

• Message frequency: One message per verification request. We do not send recurring marketing texts.
• Non-sharing: Your mobile phone number will never be sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
• Rates: Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details.
• Opt-out: Verification texts are transactional and sent only upon your request. You can avoid receiving them by not requesting a verification code.
